It comes from Luke 2:7-16
7And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
8And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
10And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.
13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Helping Others!
Yesterday I went to the service at the Church I work at! I have never got to set through the whole service. My home church is a Baptist Church, and the Church I work at is a Methodist church! Yesterday was the Fourth Sunday in Advent, and I thought it was really neat that they lit a candle and said different Stuff about Christmas. The four Candles stayed lit all through the Service.
Yesterday Afternoon The youth Group from Mountain View United Methodist Church took Presents to a local psychiatric Hospital, and sang carols. Then the youth went and bought presents for our Santa Elf families.
Santa Elves is one of my favorite organization in the county! I love helping out each year!
This is the Second year I have helped the Youth group, and every year I feel so lucky that I have what I have. I may not be rich, but the families we sponsor may have little or no money at all coming in!
The real meaning of Christmas isn't presents, its the birth of Jesus!
The song I have picked today is Bring Him home Santa! I heard this song the
first time the other day, and almost cried! It's about a little girl who wants her
daddy home for Christmas, and he is a solider who is in Iraq!

Back Then!
Last night I was looking through old Journals I have written in! I found my 2004 through 2007 journals. In 2004 I was in the 8th grade.
As I read through the journal of my 8th grade year, I thought wow! All the things that went on back then.lol I found where I was madly in love with this guy who I ended up dating for month my 9th grade year.lol I found all these guys names that I liked back then, and thought Wow how could I have liked those guys.
Now that I have graduated and I look back I think I wish I could have a redo of High School! In Middle School and High School all I had to worry about is who was my friends, how popular, did I have a Boyfriend.
Now I think Why couldn't I have concentrated on my grades, and not all the drama happening. I think bad why couldn't I have been nicer to the kids who were not as popular or who didn't go to church!
I have ha several friends who started bad things and then I just found new friends, but knowing what I know now I should have been a good Christian and talked to them bout Jesus.
God has led me through every step of the way! I have made mistakes and I realize everybody makes mistakes. God has led me to find my old journals, and to write this. I'm realizing just because a guy may say he is a Good Christian or goes to church that, that may not be true. He may be just telling you that so you will go out with him.
God is my leader. Like the Verse the Lord is my Sheppard!
We should help others and invite more people to church!

This past weekend a friend and I went to Bristol Motor Speedways to see Speedway in Lights.

Hanukkah!
Today was Snow Day number three in our county! I worked in the school age program at work today! I found out today that I know somebody who celebrates Hanukkah! I really don't know a whole lot about Hanukkah!
Here are some facts about Hanukkah:
Hanukkah is an eight day celebration.
Hanukkah usually falls in November or December, and is known as the Festival of Lights. Hanukkah is celebrated with the lighting of the menorah, traditional foods, games and gifts.
The Hanukkah celebration revolves around the kindling of a nine-branched menorah.
On each of Hanukkah's eight nights, another candle is added to the menorah after sundown. The ninth candle is called the sham ash, and is used to light the others. They typically recite blessings during this ritual and display the menorah prominently in a window as a reminder to others of the miracle that inspired the holiday.
Tonight is the eighth night of Hanukkah! Happy Hanukkah to everyone who celebrates it!

Blessings!
Some days I don't realize how many blessings I really have. I am Blessed to have such a Great GOD, Great Family, Great Friends, Great people in my life, and Great jobs.
Sometimes I don't think about events in my Life as Blessings, but lately I have been taking the time to think about the Blessings God has given me.
One Blessing God Gave me is:
I was able to volunteer on Thanksgiving at a Local Restaurant. That night as I was leaving, the owner and I were talking. I just so happened mentioned that if she needed anybody during the day to work that I am available during the day! Just so happens she was, and asked me to start training. I started training the day after Thanksgiving. Today was my 4th day there, and I love it. Waitressing is something different for me. I see this as a Gift from God!
Another Blessing God has given me is:
Working with the School aged kids at the gym I work at! There is something different going on with them every day! Most of the 10 and 11 year olds are as tall as I am or taller. They are always telling me how short I am. Lately they have been telling me that I am old.lol Then today they said I was just a kid.lol They can be so funny! I see this is a Gift from God! If I am only an Inspiration for one of those kids, that makes me Happy. I would like to be an Inspiration to all of them.
God has helped me through some of the hardest times, and now I realize that I don't need a boyfriend to be happy! I Have my God, my family, and my friends. One day God will send the right guy to me. For now I will live my following God, and trying to be the Inspiration for somebody everyday whether it's a kid who I have babysat, a family member, or a friend.

The Gift of Jesus!
Coming home from Work tonight I saw a Church sign that I really liked. It said "Jesus is a Gift to be shared." As I think about this sign, I realize
I don't share the gift of Jesus as much as I should.
Some times I think around Christmas we get wrapped up with receiving presents, decorating, and shopping, and we don't think about the real meaning of Christmas.
Jesus being born on Christmas in a manager in Bethlehem.
My goal is to start talking to others about Jesus! We all need Jesus in our life.

Get Back up Again!
Today we are snowed in again! We probably have about 4 inches of snow!
Most of the local churches services were cancelled.
The past few days I have been thinking about the mistakes I have made!
It came to me that I just need to put the mistakes I have made in my past and not think about them anymore.
Everyone makes mistakes, but if you are saved and you ask for forgiveness he will give it to you.
The past few months have been one obstacle after another, but God is putting these in my life to make me stronger.

Its begining to look a lot like CHRISTMAS!
This morning I woke up to this:
It has been snowing ALL DAY, and we are expecting more. This is our First Snow of the Season. I Love The SNOW.
As it is getting near Christmas I see a lot of things that has Xmas on it. I don't like it at all. It should be CHRISTmas.
JESUS is the Reason for the season.

Snow!
Last night coming home from work as I pulled into the drive way there was a Deer and it was snowing pretty hard. I wish I could have got a picture, it was so pretty.
As I set there watching that deer a song pops in my Head "How Great is our God."
Our God is great, he has done so much for us.
God is there for us whenever we need him. He is only a prayer away. Lately he has helped me through several obstacles.
I wish that everyone would find him as their savior, the world would be a better place.
I am so lucky that I have grown up in a family who believes in God. I was very young when I accepted God as my savior. He has lead me through good times, bad times, and hard times.

Thankful!
I know I am a Day Late! I Hope everyone had a GREAT THANKSIVING!
Last year a local restaurant had a Free Thanksgiving meal for people who cannot afford a meal. This year they also had The Free Thanksgiving dinner.
I have volunteered there both years. It makes me feel good to be able to help out on Thanksgiving. There were BUNCHES of meals handed out, and everybody appreciated them.
It makes me feel Thankful that my family has food, water, and everything we need.
I am so Thankful for my MOM, DAD, Allen(Brother), Bryan(Brother), My nephew, Crystal(My Best Friends), My grandparents, and ALL of my Family and Friends!

Work!
These past few weeks as I have been working in The after school program at the local gym! I have noticed a lot of the kids are mean to each other and they only want to be with their friends.
I have started doing organized games that I choose and putting them in groups. I have had kids fuss, but so far its working pretty well.
Each kid are sensible in their own way to a circumstances.
I love my job and today I had a little girl tell me that Bubbles tasted like seaweed with soup on top.lol I thought that was so cute!

My Family and Friends!
The past few days I have been having some tough times. No matter what my family and friends are there to help me through the tough times!
I am so Lucky to have such good Family and Friends!
If it wasn't for everyone Praying It would have been hard to get through.
Prayer Does Changes Things!
Today we had our Thanksgiving dinner at my Great Grandmothers house! We had lots of fun and lots of good food! There were lots of people there also!

The Voice Of Truth!
Today wasn't a very good evening at work! I think Why does this have to happen on a day I was there and not the other girl! Then I found a quote that answered it. "If God Brings it to you He'll bring you through it."
I thought about that for a long time and then realized God put that Obstacle in my life to make me stronger. Like the song God gave me Mountains so I can learn how to fly.
On my way home I heard the song The Voice of Truth-Casting Crowns. I thought watching Facing the Giants would inspire me. Every Time I watch it It makes realize that no matter what Obstacle God puts in your life isn't too Big or too small.
Sometimes we may not understand why God put a person in our life, but there is always a reason!
It's hard to get over these Obstacle, but "With God All Things Are Possible."

Lately!
Lately I have been working Tuesday Thur Friday at The Childcare center I work at! On Tuesday nights I am with the younger ones, and Wednesday through Friday I work with the School age kids!
This will be The fourth week I have been doing it next week! I have also been participating with the kids in games of Dodge ball, Kickball, basketball, and tag!
I have found out I am more out of shape than I thought.lol I have had fun! I have been out of school for almost two years, and the last year you have to participate in gym is as a Sophomore! I have not exercised a lot in almost 4 years! That's a long time.
I have had fun participating with them. When I participate it seems like they listen to me more. All I do when I don't participate in the activity that day all I do it sit in a chair and watch! Starting this past week I have also been working out in the gym part too!
I am hoping to loose some weight, so it will be easier for me to participate with them!
I don't know if I am going to be the permanent Gym Monitor, but I would like to! At first I didn't want to but now I do!
I am just praying about it, and if God wants me to have the position then he will give it to me.
I have only worked out two days this week, but it has made me feel so much better. I used the step machine thing that you set down on I think its called a nu step or something like that.
The first night I did 1 lap and walked two on the track.
Then on night Two I did a mile on the machine, and walked two laps.
I will be filling you in about how my loosing weight is going!

Then and Now!
I worked and volunteered at a Local daycare for about three or four years until they closed in 2008.
Every now and then I see a kid who went to that daycare. Most of them I see at my current job where the parents can sign their kids in for up to two hours while they exercise.
Tonight I saw a little girl that I haven't seen in about a year. She is six now, and I think wow she has really grown up since then.
I also think wow I'm getting old. There are kids who went to that daycare who are in Middle School and High School now. I am really going to feel old one of these days when I see a kid who is all grown up with kids that will be the day I will go crazy.lol
Sometimes when I see those kids I feel like crying, I loved working at the Daycare. Then again I think I wouldn't be where I am now if it stayed open. If it had stayed open it might not have stayed the same.
I do still talk to all the other's who worked there. I don't get to see them as much as I did back then, but it's still great to see them even if its just a couple times a month!

2010 CHRISTMAS BASH Review and Giveaway #1!

Review from Happy Desserts Time!

I recently had the opportunity to review some Fall Chocolate Mix - Leaves and Acorns from Happy Desserts Time.

Halloween Swap at The Mommy-files!
I participated in my first Ever Halloween Swap from The Mommy-Files! I have participated in Christmas swaps, Valentine swaps, and Easter Swaps.
My first Halloween Swap was GREAT! Kristy from Momma Loves to shop was my partner.
I had a BLAST shopping from her and her kids!
She sent me all kinds of things including Halloween Socks(I Love socks), a poison wine glass, Peanuts brand Candy corn Flavored lip gloss, lots of candy, a Marshmallow candy corn(I had never saw one of these but they were really good), a Candle that smells really good,a note pad, a pen, a whole jar of candy corn, 2 mickey Mouse buttons, and more.
I really enjoyed being Kristy's Party! I would like to Thank Kristy for all the GREAT goodies I got!

Halloween Weekend!
On Friday Night we had a lock-in at the Church I work at. This is the first one we have had at that church. We had all kinds of fun. Four of us Decided that we
were going to go fork the Youth Leader's yard. It was an adventure from the start.lol
We go to try to find her house, and we think the house is her's and we get the forks out and one of the girls with us said this is the_________'s House. We almost forked a little old ladies house.lol Then when we finally find the house and after we put a BUNCH of spoons,forks, and knives in her yard we heard the police coming.
Over all it was GREAT! The youth leader thought it was HILARIOUS.lol
Then Saturday was when the kids around here went trick-or-treating, so me and my friend watched a movie and handed out candy.
Then today was fifth Sunday Fest at the church I work at so we had a GREAT Dinner.

I recieved a package from Shout with all kinds of Shout products in it!
I Love shout products. I work in Childcare and I get all kinds of things
all over me. With Shout now anything will come out.
I had a paint stain on one of my shirts that I have tried everything to get out,
and I tried Shout and it got it out. I was so Happy.
The value of Play and the Shout Go Play is important. Do you worry about your kids going to play football or another sport and come home with a HORRIFYING stain. Well now you have nothing to worry about Shout will take any stain out.
In this package a 52 Nature Activities card set came with it. These cards are available on Amazon. These are only $6.95.
Growing Tree Toys has lots of learning toys.

My Weekend!
This past weekend we took a trip to Gatlinburg TN!
We started out our trip by going to Wears Valley Tn to Oktober Fest!
Then we went to Cade's Cove which is also in Wears Valley, but it is on the Mountain in Wears Valley!
On Saturday we went to DollyWood in Pigeon Forge Tn.
Then we went back to the Hotel and did some shopping!
Sunday we went back to Cade's Cove before we left. Then we went to do some shopping at Smokey Mountain Knives and Base Pro Shop!

Buddy Walk- Down Syndrome Awareness!

Today was the annual Buddy Walk in our community! Today is the first year I have went. It was great!! There were several Kids and adults there who have Down Syndrome. Also, Lots of people there who love those kids!
I had saw pictures from last years Buddy walk and it looked Great.... Well it is even Better in Person than in Pictures.
We took a short walk around town wearing our Blue and Yellow clothing!
I am so blessed to have these kids in my life. They are so loving!

Today was the annual Buddy Walk in our community! Today is the first year I have went. It was great!! There were several Kids and adults there who have Down Syndrome. Also, Lots of people there who love those kids!
I had saw pictures from last years Buddy walk and it looked Great.... Well it is even Better in Person than in Pictures.
We took a short walk around town wearing our Blue and Yellow clothing!
I am so blessed to have these kids in my life. They are so loving!

Special Angel
(Down Syndrome Birth)

As beautiful angels wings were
flying over the streets of gold,
the baby angels could only
watch since they weren't very old.
Then one day God stopped to
talk to a little one without wings,
just listen to the angels sing".
Confused yet excited the little
one said to the Lord,
"But I'm different from the others
God and not a miracle to behold".
"Oh, but yes you are," He said
with a hug and smile on his face.
"You're the greatest gift I can give
and a loving home you will grace".

Lock-in!
Last night at my home church the youth group had a lock-in.
We had never had one at our church before. I was one of the Chaperones for it, and
I had tons of fun.
We had pizza and snacks when we got there. I made some cupcakes for it too. I am in a Cake decorating class and I love to bake.
Here are some pictures:
Then the kids did crafts, and I was in charge of paining faces. I am not a very good artist(lol),but I was lucky that most of the kids wanted their face painted in camouflage. I did paint some local high school teams on kids faces. One had me to paint smiley faces, and then one girl had me to paint a piece sign and smiley faces. One little boy wanted me to paint the word Pokemon on his face.
The kids watched movies and played games until about 11:00! The kids did not want
to go to sleep, but they all did end up going to sleep!
I think everybpdy had a WONDERFUL time! :)
