Review and Giveaway from Pretty Please Embroidery!

I had the opportunity to review the Monogrammed Personalized Initial Ribbon Flip Flops! These are adorable! I have had so many people tell me they love my flip flops and asked me where I got them from.

I have never saw any flip flops like these before. They are so adorable. You can either get just the Monogrammed flip flop bows(without the flip flops) or you can buy the flip-flops with the bows attached.

The flip flops with the personalized initial ribbon is available for children through adult. She does not recommend them for children under 3. She has any color ribbon. If you would like a different color of flip flops she can do that too.

She also has bows and headbands, trendy totes, beach towels, linen towels, things for babies, shirts, flip-tops and mugs, and wedding items.

All of the items she has in her shop would be great for Graduation gifts, Birthday gifts, Baby shower gifts, Wedding gifts, Party Favors, or for any kind of gift.

Here is a little bit about Sara and how she started sewing!

"I have been sewing most of my life. My Mom and Grandmother taught me from a very early age and I inherited a sewing machine when I was about 6. I used that Sears sewing machine until about 3 years ago. My husband and father in law are both attorneys and I was filling in briefly for one of their staff. My father in law saw me working on a project, and asked me about it. We spoke about it for several minutes and he mentioned that his mother had been a seamstress for years. A few weeks later he called me in his office and told me he was writing me a check for the "best machine" on the market. I chose a Bernina Artista 730 with embroidery attachment. From there things really began to take off. People love to have things monogrammed or personalized for themselves or for a special gift. The bulk of what I do is custom work and it's fun helping people create that special gift. My work load got to the point that I purchased a comercial machine to keep up with the demand. I love selling on etsy it's such a nice community of fellow artisans, and a great place to showcase some of my work."

A little bit About Jennifer:

I started my shop almost two years ago as a way to sell some of the crafts and custom clothing I make. My mom was a home ec teacher and introduced me to sewing when I was 5 years old. I grew up sewing and competing in 4-H at the local and state level. After my first child was born in the year 2000, I renewed my interest in sewing because little girls are so much fun. I now have three children, all girls, and use them as my pattern and design testers.

I enjoy making custom clothing, accessories and activity items for kids. I try to add new items to my etsy.com store as much as possible. I will also work with people to create custom clothing or other items they want. My talents are not limited to what is currently listed in my etsy.com store.

Disney World!

Are you thinking about going to Disney World? AT Orlando Vacation.com they have all kinds of Disney World Packages. You can choose from 2 day packages, 3 day packages, 4day packages, 5 day packages, 6 day packages, and 7 day packages. You can even customize your Disney Vacation package.

Here 5 tips for getting the best deal on Disney World Vacation Packages or Orlando Vacation Packages from the site:

1. Understand the theme park tickets - In order to get the best deal on Disney Vacation Packages, you will need to understand the Disney Magic Your Way theme park ticketing system. Keep in mind, the theme park tickets are the most expensive item you will purchase on your vacation, so this is a great area to save a lot of money. For your convenience, here is an article to help you to understand the Disney World Ticket System.

2. Choose the right Orlando hotel - Our Orlando Vacation Packages are so much cheaper than our competition, because we sell our theme park tickets as loss leaders. Other companies try and skimp on the quality of your accommodations in an effort to bring the price down on your Disney Package price. Nothing is worse than going to a hotel only to find it is undesirable. All of our hotels are affiliated with brand names such as Holiday Inn and Radisson. We only represent companies that you can trust.

3. Some Walt Disney World Vacation Packages may require you to take a Time Share Tour - The simple way to determine if you are dealing with a time share promoter is to see if he is requiring you to be over 25 years old and have a household income of at least $40,000. Please note that we are not associated with time share promotions! You do not waste your precious vacation time on long winded sales pitches when you book with Orlando Vacation .com. Our Disney World Packages are priced right without additional requirements.
4. Talk with an experienced local Orlando Travel Specialist - All of our reservationists live in Orlando and we have over 70 collective years of travel service. So if you are a bit confused, please give us a call, and we will be more than happy to assist you in getting the best deal on your Orlando Vacation Package.

5. Know the booking policy - Please take note of Affordable Travel's Booking Policy. We only require a $50 deposit at the time of booking, and we charge nothing until 15 days prior to your arrival. If you have to cancel your Disney World Vacation and you notify us 15 days prior to your arrival, we will simply refund all your money to you minus a small $15 processing fee.

We went to Disney World a couple years ago, and I wish that I had known about this site. It is very helpful. In the Disney Vacation packages it also includes hotel too.

If you are planning on taking a vacation to Disney World Go build your package now!

Special Mother's Day Giveaway from it's simply amazing!

Mother's Day is Sunday! Are you still looking for the perfect gift for Mom. I have the perfect suggestion. Got to It's Simply amazing to find the perfect Mother's Day gift!

She has Necklaces, bracelets, Earrings, Rings, Keychains/lanyards.

She just updated her site on Friday!

Here is a little Bit about Jody and her site!

I had gotten more serious about my love to work with beads 6years ago though I had dabbled since I was a teen. But when my son had begun to crawl and then walk.. it was much harder to find the time and keep the huge collection of choking hazards away from his little hands and mouth! Any chance he got he was in my beads and when big ole wooden ones for him to play with weren't cutting it, I decided I was tired of picking up thousands of beads a day. So I stopped creating jewelry til just this last year. When I again started making necklaces I realized how much I truly missed creating. And was happy to be back to it!

I also found a new love 5months ago, stained glass... I have had fun combining beads and stained glass techniques together and creating beautiful pieces of glass jewelry. I really look forward to offering these as well soon in my shop!

So, I joined Etsy 4years ago! Wow time has flown! I had joined with the intent of trying to sell some of my creations...and hopefully continue to allow me to be a stay at home mom. When I would make a necklace or bracelet, I just never seemed to hold onto them long enough to put in my shop!! I would either end up selling them or trading my creations for something we needed or wanted! I love to trade!

I know I've been blessed with the ability to stay home and watch him grow. After shelving the beads for many years and now that he has went off to school. I've had fun bead shopping and rebuilding my supplies! I have been left with some time to myself, and decided it was time!! Time for Etsy!

I made it a goal for 2010 to see if I could actually use my space on Etsy. I FINALLY opened the doors April 19th!! Personally I would have loved to have even more ready to stock, but I would have kept pushing the Grand Opening out further and who knows when I would have opened! I was urged to get my doors opened by friends and I'm thankful for that push! They wanted others to see what I do, and well they were quite curious themselves what else I had up my sleeves they hadn't seen yet!!

...I have a bunch of stuff yet to get into the shop and so many ideas floating around my head of items yet to be created! I plan to add new items every Monday, and who knows what they maybe so anyone curious will just have to bookmark me and check back often to see what else I have added!! ;)

I pride myself in great communication, and value anyone who has taken the time to browse through what I have posted. I enjoy making the gift packaging each piece comes to their new owner in! I strive to offer quick shipping, many times within hours the item is on its way to its new home!! I truly hope every piece I send out brings a smile to someone and brightens their day!!

My favorite items are the Pink Glass and Dusty Rose Pearl Beaded Keep the Faith Keychain

And the Aqua Sea Foam Sea Glass in Cage Necklace

My weekend!

On Saturday I babysat the three girls. We made rice krispie treats and cut them into shapes. I am hoping to have pictures up after this week.
Here is the recipe we used:

(Nutrition Information)

3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 package (10 oz., about 40) regular marshmallows
- OR -
4 cups miniature marshmallows
6 cups Rice Krispies®
Canned frosting
Assorted candies
Why use Kellogg's® Rice Krispies®?

Why use Kellogg's® Rice Krispies®?As the first crisped rice cereal, Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® has been bringing families together in the kitchen for over 80 years.
To experience the timeless flavor, make your Rice Krispies Treats® squares with the original Rice Krispies® brand cereal.
Where to buy

1. In large saucepan melt butter over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.

2. Add KELLOGG'S RICE KRISPIES cereal. Stir until well coated.

3. Using buttered spatula or wax paper evenly press mixture into 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan coated with cooking spray. Cool slightly. Using cookie cutters coated with cooking spray cut into butterfly shapes. Decorate with frosting and/or candies. Best if served the same day.

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:
In microwave-safe bowl heat butter and marshmallows on HIGH for 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until smooth. Follow steps 2 and 3 above. Microwave cooking times may vary.

I have never made Rice Krispie treats before and we had lots of fun.

The 9 year old was making Amish bread and we went to get the sugar out for day 6 and they had no sugar. We went to almost all of the neighbors house that they knew, and we were able to find all but 1/4 of a cup. haha!! It would have just been easier to get in the car and go to the Grocery store. The girls wanted to ask the neighbors. I live in a community that you cannot go to the neighbors and ask for sugar. One of the neighbors went to the grocery store and bought sugar in case we needed some, but to find out we didn't.
I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Weekend!
